MATCH² (The Multi-clinic Action Trial to Control Hyperglycemia and Hypertension) is a community based intervention study aimed to compare two approaches to diabetes education in three community clinics, Rush University Internist, Erie Family Health Center and Cicero Health Center for patients with diabetes and high blood pressure. The overall goal of the MATCH² study is to improve the health of patients by showing them how to better self-manage their diabetes and high blood pressure. MATCH2 is a randomized clinical trial sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).
